Going to Las Vegas, Should I make a reservation or wait until I arrive for better offers?
Just going for a couple nights mid-week. I don’t expect anything to fill, but I’ve never been before. Someone suggested that the offers once there are better than online. If you have any information on this let me know.
Don’t take that kind of risk. Find the type of vacation you want in vegas and rather than hope for the best available deal, book the whole package. Since it is midweek, you will have an abundance of deals. Take time to research what is out there. One example is Treasure Island, which has 2 Mystere Tickets available for room purchases. Find your best deal, print it out, and then take it to a reputable travel agent. They should never charge you any fee, and can often plug in deals and discounts you can’t find yourself. This can result in saved monies, enhanced packages, or both.
However, once in Vegas don’t pass up the freebies. If you want to see a show, but are not committed to one shop the discount ticket booths like Tix4tonight, and find a good show or dinner for 1/2 price.

I will going in Novemebr for my first trip. I have been told that if you book a room now through a hotel direct to keep an eye on the prices. If they are lower you should be able to call and talk to someone about getting your stay lowered. A hotel manager from Vegas told me this, but you should double check to be on the safe side…

I would never just come and hope to find a room. How would you compare what each has to offer? Walk from hotel to hotel? Check out the offers each has and go from there. Especially if you plan on coming on a weekend you may not get a good deal.

I would book the room in advance.
It’s pretty amazing but sometimes ALL the rooms really do seem to get book up. For example: next week is the apparel industry tradeshow. I think they are expecting 50,000 people.

Make reservations for everything: your room, dinner, shows, nightclubs. The vast majority of visitors don’t plan more than their room and end up spending time in lines.
Go to the site below and you’ll find lots of links to room deals, many of which also include shows or even free booze.

If you travel mid week there will absolutely be rooms available. But what a waste of time going from place to place. Not worth it. And you may end up paying more because you must have a room.
So my advice would be to book at least a couple of weeks before your trip. Shop around. Find your location, and eliminate the headache.
You simply can not understand the scale of Las Vegas until you have been here.
And there are often lines to deal with at the Hotel Registration counters and …
Well just book in advance.

Never go there and get a room.. Always reserve, for mid-week.. There should be all kind of discount codes. Try http://www.hotwire.com or the hotel’s main website..
