One night only: The coolest show in Vegas
Insider alert: One of the most impressive shows I’ve seen lately was staged off the Strip. Two weeks ago, on his off night from “Jersey Boys” at the Palazzo, Erich Bergen, who co-stars as the genius songwriter behind the Four Seasons, brought together some of his talented colleagues for a solo showcase at the Liberace Museum.
It was an intimate, solidly entertaining evening, bridging old-school Vegas, current Broadway and future pop, and Bergen was wickedly funny. Sitting sometimes at Liberace’s own mirror-encrusted piano, Bergen included his own very personal, surprisingly affecting take on the Barry Manilow hit “Even Now.” In the audience, next to Bergen’s beaming mom, was Marty Panzer, who co-wrote it, among many other songs that made the whole world sing. It was one of those rare nights when everything clicks and you feel like you’re present at the start of something special.
This guy is going to be a big name before long, and on Wednesday night, a fortunate few will get another chance to catch Bergen performing his own songs and those who inspired him: Another pair of shows have been scheduled for Wednesday night, again at the Liberace Museum.
The 7 p.m. show is already sold out, but there’s still a chance to get in on the 9:30 set. Tickets are $15; call (702) 798-5595 x14 to purchase. Both shows are benefits, with Bergen and his ace band (there’s even backup singers!) donating their time and talents, and every penny going to the Liberace Foundation for the Performing and Creative Arts. Both shows are being filmed and recorded for an upcoming CD and DVD release.

We are welcomed to shotgun saturday night in Las Vegas Nevada. A huge disply of pyro goes off. This is the first Shotgun Saturday night in years. Voices hits the arena as Randy Orton makes his way to the ring for the opening match.
Match 1: Randy Orton vs Rey Mysterio: The match is a good show opener and has a nice pace to it. Ends at 7:34 with a Rko to Mysterio who went for a highflying manuever.
Backstage we see Our participants warming up. What are they warming up for you ask. The Cruiserweight title returns next in a 6 man Free for all match.

Match 2: Kofi Kingston vs Yoshi Tatsu vs Jimmy Wang Yang vs Cm Punk vs Chavo Guerrero vs The Miz: The match is extremley fast paced. Big spots include Tatsu diving to the outside onto the 5 other men, Wang Yang flipping out the ring through a table and Cm punk superkicking the air borne kingston. The match ends at 10:21 with Chavo winning the vacant Cruiserweight title.
Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler are cooling down from the intense action. They advertise the main event of the Undertaker vs John Morrison. Jerishow is making their way through the crowd telling everyone they need to get their money back if they expected to see the nation of domination to win. Jericho tells Justin Roberts to announce them as the rightful tag team champs. Roberts refuses. Big show chokeslams him through a chair. The nations music hits as Mark Henry and Mvp come out accompanied by Ron Simmons.
Match 3: N.O.D vs Jerishow: Decent match up. This is a rematch from monday night raw where Mvp and Henry won the tag titles. The match goes for 6 mins and ends with a dq on the nation when Ron Simmons hits big show with a night stick.
Backstage Shawn Michaels tells Tomko that this fatal four way is going to be excellent to add a exclamaition point on there coming out. The match is next.
Match 4: Hbk vs Christian vs John Cena vs Kane: Match is a great display of talent. Ends at 15:21 with Hbk getting a roll up win on John Cena.
After the match Christian shoves michaels and Hbk waves his finger and tomko comes in the ring and demolishes Christian once again. This happened on Friday night Smackdown as well. Hbk brings in a table and michaels takes over. Tomko gets a ladder and sets it up on the outside. Michaels sets up the table. Tomko puts christian on it. Michaels heads to the outside and climbs up. Only for Morrison to run down and tip the ladder over. Michaels falls in the ring through the table as soon as christian moves.
