Vegas coupons?
Is it true that the vegas hotels provide you with a coupon book? Can you get them if your not staying at the hotel?
Some of them do. They are usually good for free drinks and discounts at the restaurants or gift shops.

Yes, you get a coupon book, called a "fun book" when you check into your hotel, and sometimes you can find coupons in the magazines in Las Vegas for free fun books at other hotels. Sometimes you can get a fun book for signing up for any hotel’s player’s club card. They are free to sign up and you earn points for gambling with them. I don’t know if you can just walk into a hotel and ask for one, though. It’s worth a try, I might try it this visit. We are leaving for Vegas on Sunday.

Each hotel prints their own fun book with coupons for that hotel. You will find it in your room when you check in or just ask at the desk and they will give you one. Also you can get one even if you are not staying at the hotel. You just have to ask at the checkin desk

In the vast majority of cases the funbooks are for hotel guests only.
There are a few, such as Harrah’s that will give you a free funbook and other goodies "if" you’re a first time sign up for their "Total Rewards" card
The Stratosphere used to give you a funbook just for asking. I did not go down there either time we were in LV last year so I don’t know if they still do or not.
The Palms is another that sometimes gives away a nice funbook for first timers, same goes for Silverton.
The best LV coupons are not free but they are well worth it.

The best free coupons are the FSE ones, you can pick them up from the Fremont Street Experience office at 425 Fremont Street, it’s on the 2nd floor of the parking garage next to Walgreens. Show an out of state ID for a very nice sheet of coupons that include several 2-4-1 buffet and $10 free play coupons.
The in-room magazine "What’s On" usually has some useful coupons.
Info on the latest casino promotions, some of these are better than coupons.
