On day 6 of my trip to Zion National Park, I awake to rainy/windy conditions, then scout the canyon for potential shots.

@canonxsi79 I haven’t done much of the way of ultra long exposures with my camera setup yet because wind can be a concern. Just by the nature of working with an 8×10 though, most of the exposures are quite long, but not by choice.
@i8befire7 The deer were probably about 50 feet away. They crossed the trail ahead of me. I used my Panasonic TM700 for all that footage. It’s a very compact video setup, which is why I like it. I wouldn’t mind switching to a micro 4/3 camera that shoots HD video at some point, but they don’t make my ideal camera quite yet.
@healthpimp I don’t have a photo of my setup, but my primary camera is a Panasonic TM700 video camera (consumer grade, but high end). In most cases, I mount it on a monopod, and hold the camera out in front of me. For this video though, much of it was handheld. For audio, I use a Sennheiser MKE 400. It’s very compact, and does a great job. I also have a Panasonic TS3 underwater camera and a GoProHD2.
Would it be possible to show your Video camera rig?
when the video first started I saw a wild turkey in the background. HOw far away were you from the seer and turkey??? Did yo get the new camera that is lighter and smaller?
Ha just got back from this place great video have you ever done long exposure there before
Velociraptor, hahaha!!!
@pkfroelich It’s a wild turkey. I does look a bit more like a small dinosaur in the video though!
What the heck is going across the trail at 1:15?
